South Luangwa National Park, Zambia May 2013 – Part 2

After three nights at Nkwali camp we moved onto Luangwa River Camp situated further north along the Luangwa River. The change of scenery brought with it new opportunities for sightings. The bird life in particular was fantastic. We were lucky to witness two bull elephants sparring in a forest and to watch a large elephant stretching its whole body to reach the branches high above it. We were a little unfortunate during our time here having several punctures, causing us to loose precious safari time, however I was always amazed at the speed the guides were able to switch the tyres! more…
