Escaping the everyday life with photographs from my travels
The Roman Forum illuminated at night. Rome, Italy.
Ailsa’s travel-themed photo challenge this week is Illuminated:
What an exquisite shot!
Thank you, they light the Forum up spectacularly at night, its a sight to behold!
How did you like Rome? I had the chance to live here last year and it was amazing. I did an architecture map of the city which may be useful to you too, have a look 🙂 http://duranvirginia.wordpress.com/2013/04/05/architecture-planning-a-trip-to-rome/
Rome is like no other city I have been to – I love its history, architecture, food and weather! I am hoping in the next few months to write a full trip report on my most recent visit. Your map would have been incredibly useful and I will recommend it to friends who are visiting.
I completely agree, so much history and culture. I definitely had the time of my life and ate better than ever (if I close my eyes I can remember the taste of the nocciona gelato at Gioliti) It sounds exciting, looking forward to your new posts about Rome 😀
A beautiful shot of a beautiful area of the city!
I do love that area of Rome, though it is such a shame you cannot walk freely in the Roman Forum anymore.
